All-Levels West Coast Swing

Routines are an excellent opportunity to elevate your skills with more challenging choreography than you typically encounter on the social floor. Being part of our dance routine teams is an incredible journey, and you'll forge lasting friendships through your participation.

Every year West Coast Swing dancers from around the world participate in the International WCS Rally / Flashmob. We all learn a global choreography and perform it in our local communities toward the end of the summer. At Remix Swing we take pride in participating in this fun and inclusive routine that connects us to the global WCS community.

Skill level required: 2 months of beginner WCS classes at the start of training. Continuing to take classes. You must be familiar with West Coast Swing basics and some variations, learning to apply them on the social dance floor. This is a great opportunity for those participating in Remix Swing's dance classes who want to enhance their skills.

Practices: Drop-in Style practices on Sundays at 6-7PM and Mondays at 8-9PM from July 12 to August 24, 2026

Performance/Filming Day: Saturday August 29, 2026 (various locations around KW, 10am-2pm)

Partnering: Unlike our other routine teams, no partner is needed to register for this this routine team, and there are no formal costumes (just recommended street-wear and neutral colours for final filming). We rotate partners and film in multiple locations so everyone gets a chance to be in the final video.

Cost: This is a drop-in friendly routine (meaning you do not need to attend all sessions, but it is recommended if you can!).

All training sessions: $150+HST, drop-ins: $25+HST.
